Thats right peeps! ive heard through the rumour mill that Toyota is relaunching the Sprinter in its RWD configuration early next decade (2010).
One source said it will be powered by a Subaru sourced 2L boxer engine.
The older top speed article wrote the car will weigh under 1,000 kgs and will be powered by a 1.5 liter 2NZ-FE that may produce 120 horsepower.
Who knows hich way this will go, but i for one am very excited by this, and hope the car is as good as the orginal was for its time! I only hope TRD gets its hands on it and adds a blower... a true modern weapon.
Although official designs havent been revealed, there is speculation as to these renderings: one will be a supra, the other is possibly the proposed sprinter:
