when installing the cams in a GZE the cam lobes for number one cylinder should be facing which way??? in or out??? any help would be appreciated.

when installing the cam make sure the crank is line up at TDC you can check this by the notch in the crank pull for the timing belt. place the pullies on the front of both cams i hope you didn't mix them up. do the centre bolt up finger tight. line the timing marks up with the plastic cover they should be pointing verticley. place the caps on each one they are numbered so you don't mix them up. tighten them done evenly. they should be torqued up to about 16 - 18 NM make sure you use assembley grease on the contact surfaces of the shafts and on the lobes. and poor a small amount of oil on the right had cam so you cover the buckets because it will take some time for oil to reach here when you first start the engine. the left side is ok because you fill the engine from here. the long bolts for the cover go the second one from the fron and the rear one you can check this with the cover.
