Evan is now somewhat of a celebrity...he starts his assault on the Lotus Trophy Series driving #21 Lotus Elise. Evan has already set the fastest (unofficial lap...at the shootout of the Lotus 500 so not recognised as the outright lap record of 1m 9.5sec)...just ask STEVE (Goulburn Gaol escapee...I have the photos!). The point is that Evan would like some guys to go down to Wakefeild Park to see him race, though he wouldn't ask. It's on this Sunday (at Least Race 3 is)... Check out www.lotustrophy.com.au/drivers2.html it will be upgarded shortly with driver profiles. See you there. He's also wanting some guys at Winton a week later...

From our brief phone call last night, it appears that evan come of the track in the first race finishing last, second race was better with a 3rd lapping roughly 1.10.1 secs. (thats damm quick) with the 3rd race today.
Evan says the car isnt right, something about the motor isnt good, maybe worn out after the endurance event a few weeks ago.
Evan even has a mananger of sorts. Some guy wanted Evan to draw up a plan of his driving career with goals and places/cars he'd like to race.
Apparently this guy has contections that can make things happen.
Maybe Evan will be in Malaysia next year or here racing a Porsche with Jim Richards.

2nd overall on this weekend was the final result, not a bad effort for a drifter

2nd overall on this weekend was the final result, not a bad effort for a drifter Evan's car was a total dog. It had no power and to tiop off his week of flat batterys the Elise was falt too!(Spooky) It was a brilliant race. Evan got the Hard Charger award and a large silver cup for his second place in Class B (Elises) the rotten thing that he was actually leading when he was blocked by some rich dude driving a very wide Exige. The fat guy blocked Evan and the other Elise passed them both on the inside.....bummer! The real shame, however, is that that may possibly be Evan's last Lotus race as the owner of the series announced that his company was flat broke and had lost the naming rights sponsorship of Hankook Tyres. He then put the bite on all the drivers asking that they cough up $5000 today so that they can go to Winton on next Friday....so much for winning Chance of a Lifetime. The rich dudes then excluded Evan because he couldn't pay and asked us to leave the tent...rich bastards!(Come the revolution baby!) The upshot of it all is very poor. So if you guys know someone who has a spare $5000 ....! That's it! Someone may have an idea. I proposed that all members of Royal Drift sign up for a Lotus Expeience Day and go drive the wheels off the Lotus Elises at Oran Park, mention Evan's name! This may help. or it may just be BS. Yes I am pissed too. Evan's Dad

Bad news about the money side of things, y not just go for a cheaper form of track motor sport, oh and if I had a spear $5000, id either put it into pay my loan off for a car I don’t have anymore since I crashed it over a year and a half ago. y not a production car series they seem like a good spot to start my boss races a commodore (with the company name on it PTS, Professional Traffic Solutions) in some NSW state production car series (no idea what it is called) his name is Bob Brewer, and not to mention he is doing very well he raced this weekend either OP or EC. I should ask him if he I can get some sort of sponsorship for my drift habbit

Got an email from owner of series today...he thinks he has sorted something out for Easter Creek in July. Evan will miss the second round at Winton. He can actually drop his worst round so it will have to be Winton. At least he should have 4 more rounds...
