Rears i did with a pipe, fronts i tried with a pipe but the guard is to soft and it didn't flare evenly cos it was flexing alot so i used a hammer and dolly. Used proper metalwork hammers not a ball pein or claw hammer though . I could give you a hand but I don't garentee that you won't have to respray your guards or rear quarters afterwards.

Did some work on the car on the weekend, fitted 3" hiflow cat (goodbye POS 2" cat) and 3" catback (piss off 2.5" catback) The catback had to be modded slightly as whoever had it before had shortened it for their non standard sized front pipe. The car feels like it has twice the power now  . Also i got my dad to fix the cracks that the car was starting to develop around the brake line hole in the inner guard, anyone who's looked at a few silvias will know this is a common cracking point due to the hole acting as a stress riser.

Yeah it's a pain, thank god it's not a Toyota though, the rust would make it hard to weld back together.

Hehe thats funny, we had a KE70 that was so rusty/flimsy that the front strut tops started to bend the bonnet up due to their gradual upwards creep (not helped by the fact we beat the shizzle out of it either).
