I went to Skaza's Automotive again this week to trial a new service he is offering for cleaning injectors and decarbonizing your intake + engine and fliushing out the cat.
This stuff is only new and basically does away with the off car ultrasonic injector clean and adds a new intake flush...
The chemical used is squirted into the throttle body through a small pipe and nozzle clamped inside the intake. This stuff is so strong it actually breaks down the bottles they come in within a few months!!! The car is run at idle for a while than ramped up to a few thousand rpm to cycle it through. The ammount of white smoke that came out of the car was insane. It cleaned out the inside of the plennum and intake runners so well, after it was done we checked it out through the throttle and it looked new! Keep in mind this stuff gets into all the little areas through the plenum, and flushes through the intake runners, turbine, dump, cat, and cleansoff all your o2 sensors
Next the fuel line was disconnected + fuel pump fuse taken out and he ran a different chemical through the injector rail inlet and flushed out the squirters. Little bit of smoke, but nowhere near as bad as the decarb process.
The whole thing took about 45 min.
The verdict? the difference in power was astonishing. In 1st and 2nd gear (until the stock cooler heated up) the car pulled harder on 12psi than any mildly modded (single) turbo car id ever been in.
This clean is definately worth every cent and the power increase was very noticable in the form of heaps of extra mid range torque and increased throttle response.
So if your car has over 50,000ks i stongly reccommend getting this done. Definately the best place to start with any older car whether its getting modded or not... and at 100 bucks anyone can afford it!
