hey i was wondering about 2nd hand parts like coil overs and LSD's. are they a good plan for doing stuff on the cheap or do they end up being more expensive in the long run?
just more ideas running through my head

If you buy smart then you won't get any headaches from secondhand parts. Just check quality and you shall be sweet.

There's always traps with 2nd hand parts - new parts too, for that matter. Really, you can never tell whether something 2nd hand has been used/abused/thrashed/whatever... it's a gamble in my opinion. As said though, if you check quality, you should be pretty right... but to rebutt that, how can you check the quality of most used parts, really? Get a warranty, preferably a long one... though that's usually impossible with anything that's 2nd hand. At least with new parts you get 12 months - I had to use a clutch warranty, ffs.

any good quality shocks or lsd's can be rebuilt. If u can get cheap second hand stuff and get it rebuilt then uve basically got new stuff.
