Was my first day yesturday doing driver training for people doing stage 3 at Luff motivation driver courses.
Loved it.. I love helping people with there driving.
I was trying to show a lovely lady the benifits of heel n toe in her Accord euro.
It had 17" wheels and i got in and showed her the lines. Man underated car.. very quick. I was chasing a hsv down the straight without much effort.
One guy had his mum's falcon EL taxi lol.. I saw he was getting bored so i got in it and showed him in the wet that it CAN go sideways lol.
A driver in a yellow evo 7 with IS motoracing stickers on it was a good student who was eager to learn.. The vehicle had bad tyres on it so we kept it in snow settings cause it seemed to keep the rear end in check.
He improved a fair bit.
The wet weather took out 2 cars and made them write offs lol
One was a mx5 that bit the dust near suttons and also an evo 9 that was farking mint and so sexy. ambition out weight skill.. i mean how do you crash one of them???
The surprise of the day was a guy approaching me and asking me to show him around in his COBRA v8 gen 3 that he built. OMG
Wow quickest car i have ever driven and so much fun.. so uncomfortable and quirky. I floored it in second when pulling out not expecting this huge power. It smoked them bags so had that i started laughing hysterically.
out of the last turn at oran in second absolutely sideways into 3rd with a big squirm then into 4th then 5TH! i had a quick glance and we were doing 200 maybe half way down the straight for thr short course! Lucky she had good brakes. I then proceeded to show him that the thing can drift lol. That was tricky !
I highly recommend these days for the amount of track time you get and tuition. Ian Luff was so funny too! Great character.
