D1GP Round 4 in AUTOPOLIS


Over the weekend the summer season hiatus of the D1 Grand Prix was finally broken. Competition resumed at the AUTO POLIS International Raceway for round 4 of the 2005 competition and what an event it turned out to be!

AUTO POLIS being a new addition to the D1GP schedule since 2004 brings a high-speed and technical course to the fray and as it turns out, the little hachi-rokus benefitted the most bringing in first and second places!

The lucky winners on the day were:

1st Yoshioka (Espelir) AE86
2nd Hibino (Drop Out Racing) AE86
3rd Masao Suenaga (Trust/RE Amemiya) FD3S

So after four rounds the series points table is as follows:

1. Kazama Yasuyuki S15
2. Imamura Youichi FD3S
3. Masao Suenaga FD3S
4. Nomura Ken ER34
5. Ueo Katsuhiro AE86
6. Taniguchi Nobuteru SXE10
7. Kawabato Masato S15
8. Ueno Takahiro JZZ30
9. Sakuma Tasuya S15
10. Kumakubo Nobushige GDB
11. Tanaka Kazuhiro S15
