Where do we start. 1# firstly find out which 16v version you have, you'll need the right ecu/loom combo to make it work. 2# No 4AC gear is reusable even the exhaust, fuel line maybe but thats about it. 3# Fuel system needs replacing, either in tank pump or external, so many options either way. 4# standard headers work very well, just the rest needs replacing, go for new stuff, dont cut cnrs. 5# AE86 T50 gearbox is cool to use, bolts in, just get the right flywheel/clutch combo. there are 2 types for the 16v that i know of. The rest is pretty easy and can be done very cheap if you know the peoplle with the right knowledge. Were you located. If you search www.toymods.org.au , drop into the forums or the tech area, many questions are easily answered, this topic is seriously well covered here in Australia and overseas. Cheers Steve

You need efi fuel lines.. Intank aftermarket pump would be good. getting custom made 4-2-1 extractors is so worth it with a decent 2 1/4 " system. Make sure your headers are equal length or tune length. a vn commodore air box made to suit with a K&N filter is fine. Yeh fuel will be ur biggest worry..otherwise pretty simple conversion

well i pick up the 4age on sat hopefully. i dont think it comes with an exhaust manifold but a second hand one should be good?? untill i get the funds to upgrade. i was thinking about saving time and effort and putting a microtech straight in but does this require me to get coils and then obviously the new feul pump and lines. "standard headers work very well, just the rest needs replacing" what is the rest?? ive never done an engine conversion before. the engine comes with a gear box and a new clutch but i dont know if its a t50. i am located on the central coast at copacabana.

"standard headers work very well, just the rest needs replacing, what is the rest?? The rest means the stock exhaust from the original headers of the 4ac back to the muffler. It is a pissy lil exhaust which is great helped by increasing the size to 2 1/4" piping, with a decent smallish cannon muffler. Plus the 4ac exhaust is on the driver side, while the 4age's exhaust is on the passenger side so it needs to be lined up anyway, so u might as well get a decent system.

Take a pic and post it up, well have a look. then well know more.
Gearbox doesnt really matter anyway as your t50 you using now will be fine. As long as the spline count on the clutch is the same. Which i assume it will be.
Being from a jdm ae86 then into another car and now to you, its highly likely you have a JDM t50.
I wonder if the AusSpec bellhousing fits JDM t50, i think it would.
Cheers

dont waste time and money with ecu upgrades unless your going to be changing internal components. N/As typically dont really see gains unless they have shizzle setups to begin with and theres no real epa choking on 4ages to worry about.
look at evans beast...
Pick up a cheap external pump, as good as internal setup (as long as you dont let fuel run down too much) but youll need a 2 stage unit that sucks from the tank then pressurises the lines. Bosch units are generally pretty good, around 200 bucks new. The stock metal lines are fine but change all the rubber fuel lines from tank forward to injector hose and use proper clamps, or they will split.
wiring should be a piece of cake if your going from one spritner to another.
Good luck
