get the alloy cradle spacers... heaps easier to install and make the rear even stiffer as they stop pretty much all movement.
With the pineapples youll need to drop the cradle down entirely whereas the alloy ones can be shoved in there one at a time with a little force. I installed mine in 20 min. Well worth it....
Its also worth mentioning these can be acquired really cheap through ebay - about 130 a set...

you still keep the original rubber bushes. they basically remove vetrical play in the cradle. The reason the bushes are there in the first place is to reduce vibration and road noise from the drive train. A lot of ppl solid mount them with full alloy replacements. Works fine for me... just a slightly harder ride than stock with a bit more noise. Everyone has their own preferences.

did a bit of research, and came up with this - Mazda had designed the Dynamic Tracking Stabilizing System(DTSS) into the rear suspension of all the FC3S to prevent hideous oversteer under severe cornering. Although a very good concept for mass consumers, racers can't stand DTSS under demanding conditions. - think its maybe like a rear steer???
