HKS tuned Hyundai genesis
"...the Korean coupe now sporting a quartet of HKS’s own Hipermax III coilovers, beefed-up engine internals, a reprogrammed ECU, a HKS GT Turbo kit, a low-restriction intake and exhaust system and a set of ultra-desirable Volk RE30 rims all topped-off by a sleek Ken Style bodykit.
The Genesis Coupe is Hyundai’s first real foray into the tuner market. Its last sports car - the Tiburon - was briefly experimented with by the aftermarket industry, however, thanks to its front-wheel-drive drivetrain and less-than-inspiring handling, it never won quite the same acclaim as the more established Japanese competition.
Hyundai has learnt from its mistakes though, and the Genesis Coupe appears to have all the right ingredients to break into the modified car market. Rick Lafferty, President of HKS USA explains" The motoreport.

The turbo version might be quite a good platform if the chassis has been developed right. AND if HKS already have upgrades for it before its official launch, you would think theres potential there!
Judging by the rumors, the turbo model will be somewhere around the mid-high $40,000s... which is the price category that the 200sx held. I have to say tho, the first thing i noticed was the power being a bit on the anemic side - 157kw wont do much for a car that weighs much more than 1300kg. Tho the GL+ trim offers an LSD... lets just hope its a decent one and not a viscous.
Personally I'd hang off for the new silvia - which may yet get a new 2L turbo hybrid motor. That should produce way more power than the Hyundai, and with better fuel economy and possibly a variable vain turbo... fingers crossed.
