hey, i've been wanting to get into drifting for some time now. just wanted to know exactly how to get into it. i know some sort of cams licence is needed, but what do we do about upcomming drift days? do we need to pay in advance to enter or anything like that? any help would be much appreciated, thanx in advance
EDIT: Level 2 Speed Event Licence. thats what i'm after isnt it?

Well justinzx as most track days are mostly IDA run, u can get a daily cams licence on the day of the event. If u are a member of some other club such as a motorkhana club that requires a cams licence then u are right. You can pay before the event by the typical forms of payment or pay on the day but u are not garneted a spot if u go this way. Normally for a non member of IDA and no cams licence it will cost roughly $170 I think from memory but if u become a it become a lot cheaper, take the IDA comp round on the 21st this month the cost are $180 for Members and $220 for non-members, best place to find more info is to go to initialdrift.com.au .

last time i went to oran it cost me 130 for the day and the licence was 20 bucks and members pay a 100 ;D

yeah i couldnt remember the normal price of drift days i was just a guess.

thanx guys, i SHOULD be there on the 21st, hopefully driftin the ol' datto there. uhh so whats an aproximate price for the day for a non member of anything?

umm, is it likley to hit anything on this track? if i can make it i might have to use my daily, havnt picked up the drift car yet and may take a little while to find the time to. just not too keen on bashing up my daily is all...

nah its pretty hard to hit a wall theres only 1 thats close just depends on your line through that area ;D
